New Course - Now Available! - Applied RF Engineering II: Wireless Digital Signals

This new online course is the next step in our popular Applied RF Engineering online series. Based on feedback from our corporate customers, this course covers topics related to signals, modulation, propagation, and antennas. As an added bonus, students are encouraged to work on signal processing labs using Octave/Matlab to create and explore basic modulation waveforms. Look for this course to be scheduled towards the end of 2019. Early preview segments will be shared with our RF Mentor Academy subscribers.

RF Technology Certification - Now on your mobile device!

Starting with the upcoming March session of the RF Technology Certification program, the videos will be hosted by Vimeo, which means you can watch them from most mobile devices and tablets in addition to your PC. The videos have been updated to include features such as captions for most content and also speed controls for the playback.

New RF Engineering Online Certification Coming Soon

Besser Associates is pleased to announce our newest online course Applied RF Engineering I - Circuits and Transmission Lines. This course, together with a second, system level course to be announced soon, will form the basis of our new Applied RF Engineering Certificate. The two courses together will cover a similar subject area as the RF Technology Certification program, but with a greater focus on numerical analysis and design techniques and less focus on test and measurement. The two programs are compatible in that one could either take the RF Technology Certification first and move on to the Applied RF Engineering Certification or

Join Besser Associates and Microwave Journal magazine for a free webcast on Mixers and Frequency Conversion this September 28 at 8AM Eastern/11AM Pacific Time. This one-hour webcast will be presented by instructor Allen Podell. Frequency conversion is a critical function in all wireless systems. A key component used to accomplish this is the mixer. Designers need to understand different mixer topologies and specifications in order to meet their system requirements. This webinar provides a brief overview of frequency conversion and introduces the mixer as the component used to accomplish this function.
